Jerry Junior Walters, son of JC and the late Lola Walters, was born on June 25, 1948 in Baltimore, Maryland. God called him home on Sunday, January 8, 2006. Jerry was educated in Baltimore City Public School system. He served his country in the U.S. Army, completing two tours of duty in Viet Nam for which he received numerous medals, including the Purple Heart and Silver Star. He was proudly the eldest of five boys one who prededed him in death, Gilbert, and the father of two boys and two girls, as well as two stepdaughters and Kirra, his special angel. Jerry met Berta in July 1992. Together they built a strong and loving bond that united two families. They were joined in marriage in April 1999. Jerry was a loving and caring husband. He was a fun-loving character, known for being bossy, but lovingly so. He was a meticulous dresser, loved music, sports and his computer. Jerry was a strong-willing man who could not be swayed once he determined to do something. He loved a good debate as much as he loved to sing doo wop with his brothers. Jerry always made sure he spent time with his brothers on their birthdays and special occasions. Most of all, he loved The Lord. Jerry leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Bertha; his father and spepmother, JC and Ida Walters; three brothers, Charles, Michael and Ricky Walters; three sister-in-law, Doriene and Shirley Walters and Pat Cason; two brothers-in-law, Israel Cason and Reginald Yates; four children, Gary, Angela, Stacey and Jerry; two step-daughters, Yvette and Yvonne; one daughter-in-law, one son-in-law,two stepsisters, thirteen grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, four nephews and one niece, three aunts and one uncle, and a host of cousins, extended family and friends.
