Obituary

Jesse Willie Butts, was born on April 25, 1932 in Greenville County, Virginia to the late Elizabeth Jackson and John W. Butts Sr. Our Father called Jesse home April 30, 2020.



Jesse grew up and attended school in Jarratt, Virginia and graduated from Greenville County High School.



Jesse accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and joined Little Shiloh Baptist Church in Emporia, Virginia. After relocating to Baltimore, Maryland, Jesse obtain a career at Bethlehem Steel Corporation in Sparrows Point. Later, he found the loveofhis life "Brenda" and formed an union thatcreated their two daughters, Naitmah and Maleekah.



After working 34 years at BethlehemSteel he retired. He began to enjoy his free time that he earned like spending time with family, especially his grand kids, watching wrestling, The young and the Restless, Bold and the Beautiful and he really loved Walker Texas Ranger.



Jesse married Brenda Butler on March 19, 1992.



Jesse was preceded in death by four sisters, Francis Butts, Estell Black, Gladys Simmons and Dorothy O'Nery and one brother Thomas Butts.



Jesse leaves in mourning: four children, Carolyn ButtsofNorth Carolina, Jesse Davis Sr., Naimah Butler and Maleekah ButtsofBaltimore, Maryland; one sister, Mary Louise McDougle (brother-in-law Earl)of Brooklyn, New York; brother, John W. Butts Jr.ofPetersburg, Virginia; seven grandkids, Jesse Davis Jr., Shermika Davis, Milton Blake IV, Carlita Bayton,Thomas Bayton, Devin Cox Jr. and an unborn child; 6 greatgrandkids;Jesse's favorite cousin, Milton Davis and a hostofcousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
