Jessie Lee Salem was born June 7, 1955 to Annie Pearl Salem and the late Charlie Thomas, of Lyons Georgia. Jessie received his education at Walbrook High School. He enlisted in the United Staes Marine Corps at eighteen and served from 1973-1977. He continued his education and received his diploma while in the Marines. He was employed by Captial Building Maintenance Corps. Vivian Caldwell was Jessie's soulmate. Their love and mutual respect was really something! Vivian's son James, daughter Tiffany, and grandson James Jr. also shared his love. Jessie was a caring and giving person who easily made friends and had the respect of everyone he met. He loved to read and usually took a book everywhere he went. We pray that his late sister, Brenda Myrick, is there to greet him on the other side.
