Jewel A. Ebanks, daughter of Mary Lee Murphy and Hugh Ebanks, Sr., was born on August 11, 1960. She departed this life on February 5, 2021 at her residence in Baltimore, Maryland.

She was educated in the Baltimore City Public School system. Nothing gave Jewel more pleasure than going to bible study under the leadership of Elder William Heggie of Church of Jesus Christ, and serving on the Tenants Council at the Wyman House. She truly loved being around her family and attending family gatherings, and she never missed the opportunity to break bread with them. She was loved by us all and will be truly missed around the table.

Jewel was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Lee and Hugh Sr., her stepmom, Aldis, and her brothers Mickey and Hugh Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory: sisters Marlyn and Carol; nephews Romeo, Garrett, Mark, Kent, and Dorian; nieces Tracy and Aniyah; and a host of other family and friends.
