JI M MIE MIMMS JR., son of the late Jimmie Mimms}
Sr. and the late Rosa Bell Dartez} was born on December
20} 1935 in Madison} Mississippi. He departed this life on
December 8} 2018.

Jimmie was educated in the Mississippi Public School
System. He met and married Hattie Louise Rigsby} and
from this union they had fourteen children. Jimmie moved
to Baltimore} Maryland in his early years and after getting
established he sent for his family. Later he met and married
Mayvee Thomas and from this union they had two children.
During his final years he met and married Cynthia Short.

He worked in the restaurant industry for several years and
later worked as a maintenance engineer for the Towson
Plaza from which he retired.

Through [immie's trials in life} especially after the loss of
his mother} his faith in God grew stronger. He was a hard
worker} he cared about his family and he took pleasure in
doing home improvement around his home. Before his
passing he recently lost one of his seven daughters} Pricilla
Faye Mims.

Jimmie is survived by: six sisters and one brother; three sons}
Calvin} Larry and Daniel Mims; six daughters} Rosie} Helen}
Sharon} Jenise Mims} Teresa Norris and Angela Thomas;
eleven grandchild en} twenty-five great-grandchildren and
six great-great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law} Karen
Mims and Lisa Mims; and one son-in-law} Rev. James
Norris; a host of other relatives and friends.
