Joan Grant daughter of the late Ervin Grant and Mary Lee was born on

September 17, 1953. Joan departed this life on October 20,2019 after a

lengthy illness.

Joan received her education in the Baltimore City Public School Sys-

tem.

After High School Joan gained employment in the nursing field at

Providence Hospital until she retired. After she retired she began a

daycare caring for her grandchildren and other children in the neighbor-

hood.

Joan also known as "Gramlin" loved eating crabs, snowcrabs and

drinking Jamaican Me Happy's and she also loved to sit outside listen-

ing to music when we had gatherings; and if she didn't cuss you out she

didn't care for you.

Joan made numerous of friends wherever she went and will be sincerely

missed by everyone.

Joan leaves to cherish and her memory: her daughter, Shorma Gordon

(Leroy); her son, Wilbert Hughes (Jacqueline); l3 grandchildren, Chris,

Tony, Tama, Ca'herteara, Troy, Ca'Mayhia, Jonathan, Imea, Jordan,

Anthony, Antonio, Michelle, and Jazmine; four great-grandchildren,

Takeena, Trentin, Tegen and Tailyrm; a prodigal daughter, LaToya

Hughes; one brother Michael Grant; one sister-in-law, Michelle Grant;

one niece and a host of cousins and friends.
