Joan Barbara Thompson "Peachie" was born On July 3D, 1961 to Mary

(Kitty) and the late Norman Thompson. Peachie lived her life the way

she wanted to, unapologetically. It should have been known that she

would be a force to be reckoned with when she was in her mother's

womb. Peachie was 31 inches long when she was born. She had a big

smile and a big heart. Her instant notability stemmed from her height

and beauty and got her enormous attention everywhere she went. If

you knew Peach ie, you know that she didn't mind. Although Peachie

didn't have any biological children, she loved ALL children as if they

were her own, especially her nieces and nephews. Peachie was very

protective of her family. She was quick to defend them if anyone got out

of pocket with them. Not many people wanted to go up against her 6'4"

frame. Peachie attended Baltimore City Public Schools. She played

basketball alongside her sister Lynn at then Northern High School. She

was a staunch competitor and very much enjoyed playing the game. Peachie loved perfume.

Her perfume would enter the room before she did. {You can laugh now}. She always looked

nice. She kept her hair well done in a wrap or pulled back in a ponytail. We may think she was

called too soon but Peachie lived her life fully. She was happy! She lived! She loved! She

laughed! Peachie departed this life peacefully and gracefully on Wednesday, May 8, 2019. She

was preceded in death by her brother, Norman and leaves to mourn her departure, her

mother, Kitty, three brothers, Leon (Machelle), Michael (Varlie) and Anthony, three sisters,

Sharon (Mack Palmer), Brenda and Lynn, 6 nephews,S nieces, 4 great-nephews and 4 great-

nieces, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
