Joanne Foster, born July 14, 1946 was the
eldest of two daughters to Clarence and Mary Francis Lunsford both
who preceded her in death.

Joanne received her education in the Baltimore City Public Schools
System. She graduated from Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School in
1964. After high school she went on to work in the banking world and
then into the school system. Later in life Joanne went into home care
for the sick.

Joanne was a caring person. She had a nurturing personality which
drew people to her. A "Miss Nancy" without the "Romper Room". She
was that rare combination of a serious person who was quick to laugh
and enjoyed a good time.

In January 1965 Joanne was blessed with her daughter, Tarrian.
In 1967 Joanne married Tyrone Foster. In August 1974 Joanne was
blessed with her son, Terrence, sharing parenthood with the love of
her life, the late Thomas "Yank" Johnson and his daughter, Joy
"Candy" Johnson and his mother the late Augustine Johnson.
After a short and aggressive illness, Joanne's life came to an end on
Thursday, November 12, 2015.

She leaves to mourn: her children, Tarrian Carpenter, son-in-law,
Michael; and son, Terrence Johnson; two grandchildren, Trevon
Johnson and Miles Carpenter; one sister, Rita Johnson, a brother-in-law,
George Arnold Johnson; two nephews, Dante and Bryant Johnson;
also great nieces, great nephews, cousins. She also left a host of other
