John Louis Corley, departed this earthly life on Friday, November 28, 2014 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was born on September s; 1946 in Birmingham, AL to the late Mr. Ernest and Minnie Brown Corley. He was the youngest of their four children, the late Richard Corley, Mrs. Mildred Corley (Donald Sr.) Fox of Hamilton, OH and Mrs. Geraldine Corley (Willie Sr.) Rogers of Birmingham, AL. John was a licensed barber in his brother's shop, a laborer at Ford Motor Co. and went on to become a commercial haul truck driver for Intrans Inc. and Falcon Transport in Cleveland, OH and O'Bara & Brehm Transfer in Baltimore, MD. He also served his country as a United States Army veteran. He married Bernice Murphy on September 14, 1969 and they had a daughter, Stephanie Michelle Corley on June 3, 1970. John Louis was loved by all who knew him. He was a kind, helpful, uplifting friend to all. He was a great father, strict and loving, sharing many laughs and all of his insight and encouragement with his daughter. He was a father figure to many, sharing his wisdom and advice. John enjoyed fishing, cooking on the grill, fixing trucks and home improvements. He was a good handyman. He enjoyed the company of friends and family. He loved Michele's cooking, going to the casino and having lots of fun. He leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, in-laws, and friends who he loved dearly.
