John Francis Gilbert, was a native of Harford County. John was born on May 25, 1940. He was the son of the late Mr. John Gilbert and the late Mrs. Francis Orange and stepson to Mr. Lawrence Orange. He also had one brother, Joseph Gilbert known as Spuddie to his love ones. John, who was known as "Babe" by his love ones, was educated through the Harford County School System. After completion of high school he joined the United States Army. After a tour of three years with the Army he received an honorable discharge. During his years of employment, he worked as a security guard for over twenty years at Upper Chesapeake Hospital. He also owned a landscaping business. Babe was a very quiet person, who spent most of his time with his family and friends. He leaves to cherish: one son, Donnell Gilbert; one stepfather, Mr. Lawrence Orange; one aunt, Thelma Bond and one uncle, Ralph Pitt and a host of cousins and friends. Memorial Service Joseph H.
