John Wesley Harris known to most as "Wes" was born on December 19,
1941 to Louise and George Harris. Wes came to Maryland from Ports-
mouth, Virginia with his older brother Melvin. The two brothers traveled up
North where the two were taken in by their Aunt Laura. Wes' early years in
Baltimore were spent making the mistakes of an adolescent until he began
his lengthy career in construction. In February of 1976, Wes met Lorinda
"Renae" Clubb, the woman he would spend the rest of his life with until her
passing in August 2016.

Always one to speak his mind, Wes was a standout at Genstar Construction
and lasted at the company through four separate owners. In the early 70's
when Wes first stepped foot in Genstar, he worked hard growing his skill set
from laborer to mechanical operator. By the time he retired from Gray and
Son in 2008 (formerly Genstar), John had left an indelible imprint on his
coworkers. Never leaving any stone unturned, Wes hardly ever stopped
working. After a full shift of constructing new roads, he would come home
and start one of his many side ventures. Whether, scrapping metal on his
overloaded pickup truck or driving a sedan for one of the social clubs of
which he was a member. Wes always hustled to provide for his family.

On May 27, 2017 at the age of75 Wes passed away in his home of 15 years
with his sons at his side.

John was preceded in death by: his Wife, Lorinda Clubb; Son, Bernard
Clubb; Parents, Louise and George Harris; Sister, Mildred Harris; Brothers,
Melvin Harris, George Harris Jr. and Joe Harris.

John leaves to remember his life: 2 Sons, John H. (Sandy) and Christopher
H. (Tiffany); 3 Daughters, Valerie B. (Larry), Ida H. and Paula W.
(Preston); 6 Grandsons, Chrissean H., Christian H., Markese B., Preston B.,
Christian B. and Sire H.; 6 Granddaughters, Elisa G., Chrishinda H.,
Chanell W., Prestigus B., Christionna H. and Serenity H.; 1 Brother, Jack
Harris; 2 Sisters, Blanche Holloman and Mary Duberry; 1 Aunt, Laura
Robinson; an abundance of cousins, nieces, and nephews .
