John Harris was born on August 14, 1953, in Baltimore, Maryland to the late parents, John Harris and Edith Miller Harris. He was the fifth of nine children. John departed this life suddenly on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.

John was educated in the Baltimore City Public School system.

John was employed at various companies and held a variety of jobs. John was also a member of the Army Reserves.

John was a devout Christian who was very active in his church. He was also a consummate party animal, who loved to sing and dance, and he was very good at both. He, also, had a love for designer clothing and loved to dress in the latest fashion.

John was self-sacrificing almost to a fault. He would offer to help anyone whether they were family, friends or a complete stranger.

John leaves to cherish his memory, brothers Van Miller, Robert L. Harris (Vanessa), Gary Harris (Venus), Bradly Harris and James Harris (Yvette) along with a host of his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His Siblings, Velma Harris, Leon Harris and Albert Harris proceeded him in death.
