Obituary

John Larry Williams, son of the late Ruth P. Williams and James Williams was born on July 6, 1964. He lived in Bronx, New York where he received his education. Later, John moved to Baltimore, Maryland to help with his sick brother James, alongside with his brother Lindsey. After James' passing, they remained in Baltimore. In his later years, John moved to Sharp Leaden Hall and became a member of the Historic Sharp Leaden Hall community and Tenant Council. He loved helping people in his building by running errands and cooking for them. In 1994, John joined St. James Apostolic House of Prayer, Inc. under the late Pastor Edna L. Brown on Hamburg St.in Baltimore, MD. When you had seen John, the first words that came out of his mouth were, "PRAISE THE LORD, JESUS!" He loved the Lord and knew where his help and blessings came from. He became an Evangelist who served on the Trustee Board and was also an Usher in the church. John had many roles in the church such as visiting the sick in hospitals, assisting with food giveaways, and maintaining the cleanliness of the church. John loved listening to sports on the radio and watching sports on television. He will truly be missed. Preceded him in death; five brothers, Larry Wilds, Tommy Wilds, James Williams, Edward Williams, Ronald Williams; 2 sisters, Deborah Williams and Jeanie Williams. He leaves to mourn: two brothers, Lindsey Williams and Jeffery Williams (from New York); two sisters-in-law, Yvette Wilds and one God daughter, MaNasia Armstrong; a dedicated friend, Shirlene Myers for over 30 years; and a host of nieces, nephews and beloved family members.
