John Charles Robinson, the son of the late John H. and Laura E. Robinson, was born on February 23, 1919 in Baltimore, Maryland and he departed this life on January 18, 2008. He had two siblings, Helen and Joseph Robinson who precededd him in death. John was joined in holy matrimony to Mildred Robinson who preceded him in death in the year 2001. John was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. He was a proud member of the United States Army, and served his country in World War II. For sixty nine years he worked as a certified meat cutter. Fifty of those years he was a valued employee of the Esskay Meat Packing Company. John belonged to Matthew Memorial Church of God in Christ Apostolic, where his wife Mildred Robinson pastored until she was called home to be with the Lord. He leaves to cherish his memories: two sons, Bernard and Reginald Robinson a third son John Robinson preceded him in death; two daughters, Mildred Robinson and Charlene Robinson-Smith; one brother-in-law, George Matthews Sr; four sisters-in-law: Margaret Evans, Delores Matthews, Vivian Matthews and Alfreda Miles; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
