John Henry Woodland, son of the late Eugene Woodland, Sr. and Rose
Marie Koritzer was born on November 18, 1971 in Baltimore, Maryland.
He departed this life suddenly on November 24,2015.
He received his education in the Baltimore City Public School system.
After high school, John worked at a host of various jobs, most notably
McDonalds and the United Parcel Service (UPS).
John enjoyed the simple things in life. On any given day, you could find
him walking the dogs or playing with the children and socializing with
the young adults in his neighborhood. He enjoyed playing video games,
going to amusement parks and spending time with his family.
For several years, John volunteered at the Susan G. Komen Breast
Cancer Walk (Hunt Valley). He was the football coach of the Baltimore
Stallions and was often called on to help with the soccer team of
Woodlawn High School.
John married Deborah Randall in 1993 and from that union he became a
father to Audra, Tonya, Denita (Nate), Sha, Steven, and DeAndre. He
was granddad to Jasmine, Leon, Kelvin, Kaela, Corey, Journey, Jamyran,
Madison, Sydney, Kenneth, Gabriel, Nevaeh and Elijah. All of them
loved him and will miss him deeply.
He leaves to mourn his passing, yet celebrate his life; his wife
Deborah, their children and grandchildren; one sister, India;
brothers, George (Janet), Eugene (Patricia) and James (Kevina),
aunts Fran, Peggy, Donna, Sarah, Susan, Mary and Rita; uncles
Kenneth and Wayne; and a host of nieces, nephews, other
