Obituary

Johnny Randolph Cornitcher was born on October 30, 1941 in Wilmington, North Carolina to the late Robert and Luzenia Cornitcher. He departed this life on May 7, 2006 after a lengthy illness. After arriving in Baltimore, Johnny received his education in the Baltimore City Public Schools System; where he graduated from Carver Vocational Technical High School. Known to many as ''Jake'' he spent most of his youth in the ''Cherry Hill'' section of South Baltimore. Jake had a passion for fine automobiles, sports, dinning on crabs, and social gathering. Jake was a remarkable man who never complained before or after his onset of illness. Instead he took his remaining time on this earth displaying his affection and devotion to his family and acquaintances and for that he will always be remembered and missed. Jake leaves to mourn his son Daniel Cornitcher and daughter-in-law Frances; devoted and longtime companion Mazie Johnson, four stepchildren Darryl Griffin, Darnell Johnson, Terry Johnson, and Dana Reynolds and son-in-law Richard Reynolds; sister Dorothy Mae Campbell; four grandchildren Ashley Griffin-Bacote and husband Kenneth, Turon Richards, Jeremey Cornitcher, and Dorrell Harris; two great grandchildren Ashton Griffin-Bacote and Ka'bre Griffin-Bacote; dear nephew Andrew Jacobs and wife Angie; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
