Joseph Lee Baker was born on September 30,1944, to the late Blanche Moses Baker and Rufus Baker. Joe, as we called him, departed this life suddenly on June 25, 2013. Born and raised on Dallas Street in Eastside Baltimore, he attended Baltimore Public School and C.C.B College. Joe was a person of many careers. Joe was the sixth of seven siblings; his two sisters, Jean and Jane, both preceded him in death. He leaves one son Derek; three sisters, Delia McMillan and Patricia Gray of Baltimore, MD; and Marion Lewis of Williamston, SC. Joe also had one brother, Rufus Edward "Ed" Baker; one sister in-law, Doretha Baker of Baltimore, MD; and two brothers in-law, Robert Gray of Baltimore, MD, and Postell Lewis of Williamston, SC. Joe left behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins also. A man who enjoyed riding his bike all over the city, Joe was also interested in Karate. He enjoyed watching football with his brother Ed and loved Northeast Market. If you couldn't find Joe at home, you could always find him in and around the Market. Memorial Service Joseph H.
