Joseph J. Braxton, son of John H. Braxton and the late Mildred G. Braxton, was born on December 13, 1953 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on September 10, 2008 after a short illness. He received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System. He worked as a tow truck driver for AAA for many years. In 1997 he started driving for Manger Packing. He loved driving the new Peterbuilt truck until three weeks before his death. He married the former Peggy Morton in April of 1980. Out of that union one daughter, Tanaira was born. Joseph lovingly called her Baby Girl. Peggy brought three children into the marriage, Wayne, Reginald and Tonya, who he considered his own even after the marriage ended in divorce. Joe, as he was known to co-workers and friends, always made friends on his different walks of life. He never belonged to a church but he knew God. Joseph was taught the love of God and family by his grandmother Carrie. His greatest Joy in life was spending time with Baby Girl, Little Joseph and his first grandchild Maurice; also the time he spent with his long time companion Gina Washington. His mother Mildred, four brothers William, Larry, Harry and Frank Braxton, also one son Reginald Harrison all preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his death; two daughters, Tanaira Braxton and Tonya Harrison; two sons, Joseph Chilsom and Wayne Morton; father, John H. Braxton; sister Mildred Contee; aunt Flossie Riley who was also his grandmother; loving companion, Gina Washington; eith grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other friends,
