IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joseph Lee
Cameron
September 6, 1940 – October 11, 2018
Joseph Lee Cameron, son of the late Rev. Ernest and Mrs. Ida L. Camer-
on, was born on September 6, 1940, in Baltimore, Maryland. Suddenly,
he departed this life on Thursday, October 11,2018.
Joseph, affectionately known as (Joe and Baby Brother), received his
education in the Baltimore City Public Schools. In his early years, his
mother, would bring him to St. John A.M.E. Church, under the leadership
of the late Rev. Isaac M. Gray and the late Rev. Benjamin S. Foust.
After his education, Joe met and' married his sweetheart, Mary Ruth
Kirkpatrick. From that union they were blessed with three children,
Anthony, Gregory, and Jacqueline.
Joe gained employment and worked hard for the Baltimore City Depart-
ment of Public Works, for thirty (30 plus) years. He served faithfully in
the Water Division, receiving numerous Awards, and Citations for his
excellent work ethics.
Cooking and getting together with family and friends was special to Joe.
He enjoyed bringing his Famous, and Favorite specialty dish of Sauer-
kraut and Pig Tails to family dinners. On occasions he would also bring
Pigs Feet. Family would be waiting for him to show up, and of course, he
would come in late and smiling. Family would laugh and say, "It's about
time you got here!" Joe would laugh and say, "Better late than never".
Laughter and joking with one another was evident of this loving family.
During Joe's 78 blessed years of life, he made numerous friends wherever
he went, and he will be sincerely missed by all. "For we know that every
good gift and every perfect gift is from above." (James 1: 17a). You see,
God gave us Joe for a season, so as he transitions to be with the Lord, he
leaves to cherish his memories, two sons, Anthony D. Cameron (Sheila),
Gregory R. Cameron (who preceded him in death), one Daughter, Jacque-
line R. Cameron; Six Grandchildren, Terry (also know as Joey), Kevin,
Ariel, Latasha, Natasha, Allyssa, Twelve Great-grandchildren; Three
Sisters, Rosa J. Claxton, Evelyn M. James (Steven). Doris E. Dobson
(Marvin), Two Brothers, Richard E. Cameron, and William Kent (who
preceded him in death); a host of Nieces, Nephews, Family, Friends and
special Friends.
