Today we gather in memory of Joseph Louis Colbert II, son of Joseph Louis Sr and the late

Marion Lorraine Cromartie. Joseph was born on October 10, 1957 at Providence Hospital in
Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life suddenly on March 4, 2017. He received his educa-
tion in the Baltimore Oity Public School System. His public school education began at Medfield
Heights Elementa:r to Roland Pa;kJunior and concluded at Mervo (Mergenthaler Vocational
High School) where he majored in auto mechanics.

He made great use of his trade which he was hired by the Baltimore City Department of General
Services as an auto mechanic working on all types of city vehicles for 20 years. He was also em-
ployed by the Woodlawn Motor Coach as a auto mechanic. It was nothing for Joseph to hold down
two to three jobs at once or even four during his youthful years until his health took a turn which
led him to become disabled.

Joseph or affectionately known as "Chucky" was a big sports fan, always rooting for his home teams
the Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens. He enjoyed going to see the O's play their 2016
games. He ~lso enjoyed bowling and was on the Bowling League at the Ellicott City Brunswick
Bowling Ally back in the day. ThoughJoseph never ~arried, he had two beautiful ladies that were
his rock and armour throughout his years up to his passing - his first love in life Shanna Thomp-
son and his fiancee Helen Whitaker. He also made numerous friends all along the East Coast.
