Lovingly called "Uncle Joe" by everyone who came to know him.UncleJoe was a kind and gentle soul, who showed love, and understandingtoanyone who came to know him. Joseph had a heart for God. It showedinhis everyday life. As a community leader he received many awardsfrom thecity of Baltimore.

Hewas a devoted husband, father, friendandneighbor. He always made room for one more. His favorite pastime was teaching children and young adults about life, his famous statementtothem was, "Don't make life until you make one for yourself',Josephjoined A New Beginning Christian Church under the leadership of hisdaughter Pastor Sheila Baker in2015.Hewasordainedasa Deaconin2018and alsoservedasa greeter, who wason his post every Sunday untilhishealth failed.

Joseph's favorite things to do was watch sports and old westerns. His Summers were spent sitting on his porch talking to his neighbors and friends.

On Mother's Day 2002 Joseph met and married the woman he referred to as the best thing that ever happened to him, Bernice Berry/

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Bernice; children, Sheila Baker (Kenneth), Jospeh Green Jr., JoAnn Green, Joseph Green III, (Shawdria), Andrew Stokely and Sean Berry ; 13 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one mother-in-law, two sisters-in-law, one special brother-in-law, Artist Booker, two special nieces, Cindy Brown, Mary Wheeler; one special nephew, Larry Chester and a host of nieces and nephews.
