Joseph H. Simms Jr., son of the late Joseph and Bernice Simms, was born on December 10, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on April 4, 2010. He rece4ived his education in the Baltimore Public Schools. He work for the City of Baltimore. Upon completion of his education, he met his long-time love and soulmate Anna K. Bardney whom he later married. He later was drafted into the United Stes Army and served as a long-time volunteer at the Baltimore VA Medical Center. Joseph was known for his famous cooking and baking of cakes that always brought a smile and a full stomach to his kids and grandchildren. He was a true friend to those who knew him. He will forever be missed by his fmily and friends. He leaves to mourn; his wife, Anna K. Simms; two sons, Joseph C. Simms and John A. Jones; daughter Rita R. Simms; six grandchildren, Deontra, Brittany, Sean, Crystal, Iesha, Keturah and Dorian; great-grandchild, Trevon; two sisters, Loretta Smith and Lorraine Johnson; two brothers, Samuel Tune and Nathaniel Tune; and a host of other relatives and friends.
