Joseph McClain was born October 18, 1930 in Darlington County, South Carolina to the late Ms. Willie Mae Jett of South Carolina. Also known by his nickname ''Buddy'', he was raised by two loving people, his aunt and uncle, the late Ingram and Hallie Byrd McClain of Darlington County, South Carolina. Buddy was a loving and caring man. Anybody who was in his company enjoyed themselves. He was known for his numerous jokes and making you laugh. He lit up a room when he was present. Buddy had a passion for cars and his friends. He also loved to travel from state to state.
