JOSEPH SHAWN MCKENNY was born on July 14, 1968 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Albert McKenny and Ida Lesane McKenny. He was the last born of eight children. He departed this life suddenly on March 8, 2021.

He received his education from the Baltimore City school system. He was employed as a mechanical assistant at Jiffy Lube for several years where he loved to work on cars. He was then employed by Bakery Express Mid-Atlantic Industries for 15 years as the Group Leader for the Sanitation Department until he died. He was a hard and diligent worker at whatever needed to be done.

Listening to music and watching sports were his favorite things to do. He demonstrated love for his favorite sports teams by the many hats, jerseys and tennis shoes that he wore. Joseph also loved spending time with his family and friends at cookouts, parties and other events. He was a good friend and companion to everyone he knew. Joseph had a lovingly quiet and full spirit and never complained. He put his family and friends first until the end. Joseph will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

He leaves to cherish his memory: three brothers, Albert, Michael and Timothy; three sisters, Juanita, Patricia and Cynthia; three nephews, Kevin, Joseph and Donte; two nieces, Crystal and Eugenia; three greatnieces, Shania, Nakiyah and Nova; one great nephew Kevin Jr.; one brother-in-law, Thelonius; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

His parents (Albert McKenny Sr. and Ida Lesane McKenny), oldest brother (Larry) and sister-in law (Henrietta) preceded him in death.
