Joseph Henry Lynch Jr., was born in Brunswick County, Virginia to the late James and Annie Lynch on January 27,1927. He departed this life August 30, 2015. He was married to the late Pearl Hines Lynch andfrom this union was one son Joseph Jr. He attended House and Manning Elementary School and graduated from Saint Paul College High School, Lawrenceville, VA. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Virginia State College Petersburg, VA in 1950 and Masters DegreefromLoyola College Baltimore, MD in 1963. He was a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. Joseph found a commit- ment and challenges in the field of education. Joseph first teaching assignment was in Lunenburg County for veterans in Vocational Educa- tion. A few years later he accepted a position of instructor at Edward Wyatt High School Emporia, VA from 1961-1968. He worked in the Baltimore City Public School System as a teacher and a principal from 1968-1983 until his retirement. He leaves to cherish his memories: a son, Joseph Lynch Jr. (Debbie); two sisters, Julia Rice and Emma Gaines (Kenneth) all from Baltimore, Maryland; numerous of nephews, nieces, other relatives and special friends, Ben Cupid and Kermit Scheele.
