Joyce Patricia Edmonds, daughter of the late Fannie Edmonds

and Thomas Edmonds was born on December 13, 1949 in

Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life on June 24, 2019

after a brief illness.

She received her education at Frederick Douglass High

School after completing 12th grade, Joyce continued her

education at Strayer Business College. Joyce became a career

woman after completing business school working for the

Mayor's Office of Manpower, and the Baltimore City Youth

Works Program. Joyce worked numerous jobs such as Broad-

way Services, TJ's working as a bartender where she made

many friends and the yellow bus company transporting chil-

dren to and from school.

Joyce enjoyed life to the fullest, she loved everyone. She was

an excellent cook and people enjoyed her cooking. Some of

her favorite activities included card playing, listening to mu-

sic, going to concerts and she loved to dress.

She was preceded in death by, brothers, Larry Edmonds and

Jesse Edmonds, sister Susie Ann Hope Edmonds and one

grandson Kendall Edmonds.

Joyce leaves to cherish her fondest memories to: one brother,

Eddie Blick (Diane Blick); daughters,Sequoria Edmonds

Green (Kevin Green), Nicole Braxton (Melvin Braxton) and

one son Derek Edmonds; five grandchildren, Tavon Ed-

monds, Kenneth Edmonds, Derrick Edmonds Kalaysha Ed-

monds ant Tequila Edmonds; great grandkids, Tyshaya

Edmonds, La'Myra Edmonds, Kayden Edmonds, Dallas

Sapp Sariyah Carter and Maliya Edmonds and a host of

nieces, nephews, other relatives and two special friends, Mrs.

Bassie and Mrs. Pinkney.
