Obituary

Our beloved mother, Joyce Ann Lipscomb Jackson departed on March 11, 2025 after a long illness. She was born 011 May 30, 1936 in Baltimore, Maryland to Gladys A. Gross and McKinley Jasper Lipscomb. She was raised by her great aunt, Eunice Brooks Frazier.

Joyce attended Baltimore City Public Schools and graduated from Douglas High School in 1955. She married George F. Jackson Jr. in 1961, and to this union was born their son Mark B. Jackson and later a second son, Nathaniel A. Alexander Ill. Joyce worked as a Teacher's Aide for several years, and a Health Aide until she retired in the late 1990's. She enjoyed her hobbies such as word search puzzles, reading, listening to music, watcl1ing television, and taking long walks in the morning.

She leaves to mourn her son, Mark B. Jackson, his wife Fayanna Jackson and son Nathaniel A Alexander Ill. Also her sisters, Linda Lipscomb Hagy of Chicago, Ill.; Della Mae Lipscomb Majors of Baltimore, MD; Sylvia Lipscomb of Baltimore, MD; as well as one brother McKinely Lipscomb and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews
