JOYCE PATRICIA RODGERS, daughter of Mary Amason and Robert Lee Amason, Jr., was born on May 30, 1950 in Baltimore, Maryland. The sun set for Joyce P. Rodgers on April 15, 2013 after a brief illness. Joyce received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System. She later graduated from a Baltimore Trade School receiving a Geriatrics Nurse's Aide (GNA) certification. After graduation, Joyce worked in the Nursing field for many years, Lafayette Square and Levindale Nursing Homes and Stella Morris Hospice Care until she could no longer perform the duties. Joyce spent her latter year working at Harbor City Bakery, where she also worked many years until she retired. Joyce was a very loving, kind-hearted, and fun person who loved to dance, have Bible Study and spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Mary Amason; her father, Robert L. Amason, Jr.; her four grandchildren, LaShawnda Roberts, Tawanda Dyson, Brian Rainey and Shabria Williams; two brothers, Akil Fudail and Dana Amason; three sisters, Vanessa Winchester, Tanya Thompson and Wanda Reed; two brothers-in-law, Shelly Winchester and Frank Thompson; three great-grandchildren, Michael Hyman, Brandon and McKenzie Brooks; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and family.
