IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joyce Louise
Roundtree
February 26, 1944 – June 3, 2024
Joyce Louis Roundtree was born to the late Queenie and John Edmonds in Baltimore, Maryland on February 26,1944. She transitioned from this Beautiful Life on June 3, 2024.
Joyce, affectionately known by many as "Louise" or as her grandkids would say "Maweez", was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System and enjoyed helping throughout different communities, especially the McCulloh Homes area were she became the president for the community.
As Joyce grew up, she experienced so many different opportunities and relationships in her life. She then met the love of her life William M. Roundtree (Tree) who precedes her in death (03/2024), throughout this union they were blessed with four sons.
At a young age, Joyce was introduced to the Lord and created her own personal relationship with her Lord and Savior.
Joyce was employed throughout many places coming up, but her first job was special to her which was held at the Days Inn Laundry company where she worked there for over 20 + years. From there, she found herself being the pillar of the McCulloh Homes Community which is where she was known for her famous Sweet Tea. Joyce resided in this community up until she suddenly departed. Joyce had a crazy love for football and baseball, especially her home teams "The Baltimore Ravens" and "The Orioles" which she enjoyed watching with her sons on Sundays. She also had a passion for cooking and trying new recipes. She loved throwing cookouts and family gatherings, also eating crabs, and of course, we cannot forget about spending time with her grandchildren and great grands. Joyce will be dearly missed by all that she has left her precious impact upon.
Joyce was preceded in death by three of her four sons; Charlie Eric, and Bruce Roundtree; two sisters, Olivia Wilkerson and Lonnie Mae Edmonds; and one brother, John Edmonds Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Keith Roundtree Sr., three extended children Willie Roundtree, Cedric Mathews- Roundtree and Michelle Peebles-Roundtree; three grandsons, Tavon Roundtree, Sr. (Tay), Keith Roundtree Jr. (Poohman) and Kobe Roundtree; two granddaughters, Ja'Keva Roundtree-Lee (Kiwi) and Ja'Riya Roundtree (RiRi); two extended grandchildren, Courtney Lynch and Cedrick Peebles (Lil' Ceddy); seven great grandchildren, Ja'Kiya (Kiya), Tavon Jr. (Taytay), Darnell (DJ) Kierston, Taylor, Jai'Zaiya (Zi) and Ky'Renn (Renn); one sister, Lorraine Johnson (Mary Jane) a host of other relatives and friends.
