Juanita Ora Smith (Nita) was born on November 26, 1934 to the
late Levi and Ora J. Smith in Northumberland County, Virginia. She had
three sisters, Mary, Evelyn, and Gail, who all preceded her in death.

She received her formal education at the Julius Rosewald High
School in Reedsville, Virginia.

At an early age, Juanita attended and was baptized at the Shiloh
Baptist Church of Burgess, Virginia where she accepted Jesus Christ as
her Savior and Lord. After moving to Baltimore, she joined Shiloh Christian
Community Church, under the leadership of Reverend George W. Baynard
followed by Rev. Jimmy C. Baldwin, Sr. Juanita loved her Pastor, First
Lady, and the Shiloh CC Church Family.

On November 19, 1955, she married the love of her life James
Henry Profit and from this union they were blessed with three daughters,
Evon, Vern ice and Carolyn.

Juanita worked a number of jobs throughout Baltimore City, but
her greatest job and accomplishment was as a wife, homemaker, and
mother.

Juanita later married the second love of her life, Frank Bryan aka

Juanita was blessed with three more children, Darrell, Ginger and Glenn.
Pop Frank brought Nita much laughter, joy, and good times into Nita's life.
He cared for her as long as possible. When she was admitted into several
medical facilities, Pop Frank would visit her every Saturday, sing to her and

"" bring her seafood.

Juanita served as a faithful member of Shiloh Christian
Community Church for over 50 years. She served in many different
auxiliaries over the years such as: the Gospel Choir, Bereavement Choir,
Tuesday Seniors, The Women's Christian Service Counsel, and The
Pastor's Aid.

Nita wanted to maintain her ties and support of her church in
Northumberland, VA so she joined the Shiloh Benefit Club of Baltimore in
the early 1980's. She held the office of secretary and business manager to
help finance her home church in VA.

She was a member of Baltimore Parks and Recreation under the
guidance of Mary Johnson.
