Juanita Priscilla DeBeUotte was the youngest child of
Rev. Pratheus Christopher Land and Friedonia
Julietta Land, and her passing is mourned by her three
sons -- Isaiah, Joshua, and Aaron Debellotte -- as
well as by her twin sister, Riefondia Morgan, 9 other
surviving siblings (Frederick Land, Patricia Culliver,
Reuben Land, Esperance Sutton, Peter Land, Jeremiah
James Land, John Land, Jacqueline Dorsey, and
David Michael Land), and many many nieces, nephews,
and friends. She is met on her journey by her
parents and sisters Iona Grace Harris (d. July 10, 2005)
and Leah Victoria Land (d. October 14, 2001).
CHILDHOOD & GROWING UP
Juanita was born on July 31, 1964 in Washington, D.C. She
was the youngest of thirteen children, and born just after
her twin sister, Riefondia Lucinda Morgan. The twins were
baptized in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1973 and grew up in
four cities: Washington, D.C.; Baltimore, MD; Athens, GA;
and Pittsburgh, PA. As a young woman, she graduated from
Ballou High School in Washington, D.C. and attended the
University of the District of Columbia.
MARRIAGE & CHILDREN
Juanita married Ronald DeBellotte on January 1 st, 1986 in
Washington, D.C.; they were divorced in 1998. Their union
blessed them with three wonderful sons: Isaiah William
DeBeliotte (b. 1986); Joshua Mark DeBellotte (b. 1987); and
Aaron Rainier DeBeliotte (b. 1989). Juanita loved her family
deeply, and her three sons were the light of her life and a
source of constant love and happiness. She was further
blessed with four grandchildren: Isaac (b. 2009; Noah (b.
2012); Elijah (b. 2014); and Khalilah (b. 2016)
SPIRITUALITY & ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Juanita served as an officer on the Baltimore City Police
Force for many years. She bravely and steadfastly faced the
most difficult challenges of policing in Baltimore City, and
fought tirelessly against violence and wrongdoing. She
found Concord Baptist Church a place of refuge and
spiritual comfort, and she enjoyed bible study and
fellowship here. in this community of friends.
