On May 12, 2015 at 10:52 a.m. God in His loving and merciful way wrapped His arms around our dear love one Karen Elizabeth Smith, whom we so affectionately called Tinky- Tinky. She was born May 30, 1962 to the late Alfred Smith and Sara Gaines. She started her education at Grove Park Elementary, from there she attended Pimlico Jr. High. Tinky received her high school diploma from Western High, an all girls school. She later enrolled into U.M.C. where she completed 1 year and a half of studies. Tinky began her working career at Montgomery Wards in the finance department. Tinky's infectious laugh and beautiful smile will be sorely missed. She leaves to mourn her loving memory: her mother, Sara Gaines; three brothers, Bruce Gaines, Dale Smith and James Isabell; two sisters, Phylis and Gail Smith; sister-in-law, Wendy Smith; brother-in-law, Micheal Washington; six nieces, Nashea and Shaneka Harris, Chanelle and Nicole Smith, Erica Washington and Avonna Isabell; one niece-in-law, Kia Harris; five nephews, Alonzo, Dominick and Demetrius Harris, Kurtis Isabell, she joins her nephew Eric Pendergrass; two great nieces, Blessen Harris and Ariel Harrell; two great nephews, Makai and Tristan Pendergrass and a host of other relatives andfriends.
