Kate Lorraine Brown, daughter of the late Dorothy Diggs and Warner Williams, was born on January 11, 1951 in Columbia, South Carolina. She peacefully passed away on March 13, 2010. She graduated from Edmondson High School and earned her Bachelor's degree at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. She worked for Social Security Administration and successfully retired after twenty-five years of service. She had a love and connection with kids, causing her to become a second grade teacher in Las Vegas, Nevada. Kate has been an active member of Living Word Ministries since 1988. She worked in the church bookstore and was a member of the chior. Kate was a loving, caring and friendly woman, with numerous friends and family members that loved her deeply. She was a wife to Michael Brown; mother to Kristen Brown and Ty Diggs; sister to Bernadette Scott and Harold Diggs; sister-in-law, Shron diggs; brother-in-law, David Brown, Eugene Brown Jr.; aunts, Edith Spry and Joyce; uncle, Anthony Simmons; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins that are ot all at all forgotten. She fought to live with every ounce of strength and to the last second. Now she is an angel in the kingdom of God, smiling down upon us.
