Katherine Virginia Anderson was born to the late James and_ Marion Owens on February 26,1935 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life on December 19, 2024 after a lengthy illness.

Katherine was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. For thirty years Katherine was employed by Baltimore City Public School System Food Service until she retired. Katherine grew up in Sandtown where she was known as Mrs. Kat. She was a faithful member of the Sandtown Senior Center on Gilmore and Presstman Street. She loved to cook, making her pottery, reading books and she especially loved her coloring books. Katherine loved to attend church until her illness prevented her from attending.

Katherine was preceded in death by her husband John Anderson and her daughter Glendora Lee. Katherine leaves to cherish her loving memories: sons, Paul Hines and Lonnie Bolling; grandsons, Tavon, Terrell and Jamal; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Rosetta, Helen, Dorothy and Genevive; brother, Joseph (Theresa}; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
