On June 17th between Heaven and Earth, my earthly Soul paused to view, My yester years, the places I've been, the people I've met as I journeyed through. It all began that joyous Spring of 1912 when God came to me Parksville, South Carolina as a child, Katherine, He said, I am going to loan you to some love ones but for only a little while. Robert Bryant and Mary White Bryant, loving parents, will mold you and be guiding hand, But their lives, unlike yours, will be short lived in in accordance with my master plan. He said that at an early age, with the untimely death of both parents I would experience trials, tribulations and strife. But He also promised that there too would be rainbows, love, happiness and a well and long lived life. At ten my mother had taught me how to cook, iron, bake, make jellies and preserves and sew. Little did I know that my love and joy for doing these things would just grow and grow. In 1922, following he death of my parents, I moved to Florida and then Baltimore, to live with relatives, go to school, to work and so much more. I recall when God once said to me back then that I mus leave you for just a little while, but you need not fear, for I and a band of Angels are on call, and always standing near. And, I promise that in Me you can always put your trust, that in time of need I'll walk with you, comfort you, and carry you if I must. My life was changed forever when keeping with God's earthly plan, It opened my heart, let God in, and He touched my outstretched hands. That Sunday He became my personal Savior and within my heart I knew, the things He said so long ago were destined to come true. It was 17 June, 2013, God returned and whispered in my ear that today was my appointed time, To don my wings, shed my care and woes, and be homeward bound. And as God once promised, this pilgrimage would not be made alone, Angels, left and right, would be my companions as I traveled to my eternal home. To all within these hollowed walls my life, though well spent, was not as long as I wished to be, But God, in His infinite wisdom, knew what was best for me: I've no remorse of regrets for leaving you behind this day, for God called, my traveling bags were packed, and no longer will I stay. Today as you pass in review, look close there's a smile on my face, my soul is set free, is moving on up because of God's tender mercies and grace. At this moment I'm crossing the River Jordan, almost at Heaven's door. There, lined on its banks, I see loved ones, friends, and others called times before. My journey's end is now in sight and I will soon see my Master's face. I'll darn my robe and crown, as promised, having finished and the race. For those here who have strayed, don't know or accepted God for His pardon of sin, don't wait another day, for life is short, a blink of an eye, and you too must pass this way. Loved ones and friends I thank God and each of you for loving me as I have loved you too. Remember, no matter where you are, time of day, I. in Spirit will be there with you. Finally, let assure you this Paradise is a Garden of Eden just as its been foretold. There are mansions, much to see and do, and the streets are paved with gold. Again I'll miss you but not sorry for what has come to be. For now I'm at peace and in God's hands for an eternity.
