IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Keith C.
Rivers, Sr.
May 21, 1963 – March 1, 2020
Keith Rivers the loving son of Shirley and Leroy,
answered Jehovah's call to come home during the early hours of Sunday, March
1st, 2020.
Keith was born on May 21st, 1963, in Baltimore, MD. Keith received his
education in the Baltimore City Public Schools System and received training in
drywall installation and other home improvement skills. He began working at the
early age of 15 years old in his job field, which brought him joy and a personal
sense of pride as "no one could hang a ceiling like him". Keith especially loved
using his skills to fix and improve the homes of his family members.
While Keith was born to Shirley and Leroy, he was raised in the loving home of
Shirley and Roland, his dad, along with his 7 siblings. As a young man, Keith met
Rochelle at Mondawmin mall and assisted her with her recovering her daughter,
Lakisha's, balloon. Little did he know that this chance meeting would become a
union that would bear him 3 sons, Antonio, Keith, Jr., and Evan. While they did
not marry, they did share a loving and unbreakable bond that remained until his
last breath.
Keith was a person who loved (and spoke) with his entire heart as a son, father,
grandfather, brother and uncle. He sought to make any place he visited comfort-
able for him and her family; and all were delighted with his presence and aura.
Keith always spoke with extreme passion and fire on issues that he held near to his
heart. Keith was admired, loved, and respected not only by his children, parents
and siblings, but by his extended family as well. The love he had for his entire
family and neighborhood will forever be cherished, greatly missed and never
forgotten.
Keith loved laughing, talking, joking, singing and enjoyed listening to music,
especially with his father, sisters and brothers. Keith lived to take care of family
and always anticipated the next family event. He would always try to be one of the
first people at an event and the liveliest one. His smile and big laugh would always
be an indicator of a good times and the overall good vibes that were felt. There will
never be another like him.
Keith leaves to cherish his precious memories: three sons, Antonio, Keith Jr., and
Evan; his one true love, Rochelle; his brother Terry; his sisters, Phyllis, Denise
and Jackie; his special niece, Candrier or "Bay Bay" as he called her; ten grand-
children; and a host of Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephew and other relatives and
friends.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley and Roland; his sister,
Carolyn; brothers, Kevin and Gary and stepdaughter, Lakisha. All are fondly
remembered, loved and are truly missed.
