IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kenneth E.
Braxton
March 26, 1970 – August 13, 2020
Kenneth Eugen Braxton (aka Kenny), son of Vandessa Ann Young and Oscar Eugen Braxton, was born on March 26, 1970 in Baltimore Maryland. He departed this life on August 13, 2020.
Kenny received his education in the Baltimore Public Schools. He attended William Pinderhughes, George G. Kelson, and Edgecombe Circle Elementary Schools and Greenspring Middle School. He graduated from Mergenthaler High School in 1988. He also attended college in Texas and Maryland. He attended technical school and received a certificate for Commercial and Residential Roofing.
Kenny served in the United States Army for eight years. At the time of his Honorable Discharge he had advanced to the position of Ground Surveillance System Team Leader. Kenny has three daughters, Kendra Braxton, Kei Braxton, Kennique Braxton and one granddaughter, Journee Reese.
On January 22, 2010, Kenny married the love of his life, Lolieta Snipes Braxton. In 2012 Kenny became a member of the Central Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Rodney T. Morton. Kenny was active in The Sunday School, Gift of Love, The Prison Ministry, Annual Fall Fest and Marriage Couples Ministry.
Kenneth worked at various jobs that involved roofing, home improvement (carpenter), Bricker/Shot Blast Foreman, and Press Brake Operation. Kenny excelled and loved working in the category of home improvement. He was happy when he became an entrepreneur (Kenny's Home Improvement) and was able to start and work his own business. There was a gift in his hands doing home improvement work; something he loved and took pride in doing.
Kenny loved basketball and football. Of course, his favorite team was the Baltimore Ravens. He liked fishing and particularly enjoyed the time spent with Carl Hamon, Bryant Wade, and Charles Diggs catching those fish. Kenny made friends wherever he went and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. He had a big infectious smile for everyone he met. Kenny loved his girls and his granddaughter Journee (Chocolate Drop).
If you knew Kenny, you knew he had a special bond with his mother. He had a unique way of calling her "Ma" or "Ma Dukes". Kenneth was a loving, caring, person, and would do anything he could to help you. He loved to dress and smell good.
Kenny has transitioned and was welcome to his new home by his father, Oscar Eugene Braxton, sister, Charlene Denise James, and his grandmother, Rosalee Young.
Kenny leaves to cherish his memory, Mother, Vandessa Ann Young; wife, Lolieta Snipes Braxton; daughters, Kendra Braxton, Kei Braxton. Kennique Braxton; granddaughter, Journee Eva Reese; brothers Oscar and Arkar Braxton. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives; three special friends, Carl Hamon, Bryant Wade, and Charles Diggs.
