IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kenneth Nilan
Scott
October 3, 1950 – March 12, 2024
Kenneth Nilan Scott was born October 3, 1950 to Richard and Atlanta Scott in Baltimore, Maryland. Kenneth attended Baltimore Junior Academy and was a graduate of Pioneer Valley Academy in New Braintree, Massachusetts.
Kenneth retired from the Baltimore City Department of Public Works/Division of Waste Water as a TV Inspection Technician in 1996. After his retirement, he worked as a custodian at Baltimore Junior Academy. He also enjoyed driving for Uber, where he met many people, shared his life experiences, and witnessed to his customers about the goodness of God. He always distributed tracks with money inside to people he met on the street.
Kenneth met and married the love of his life, Marion Griffin on August 6, 1972. Tirree children were born from that union. Kenneth was a loving and devoted husband and father. He was affectionately called "Pop Pop" by his grandchildren. He enjoyed taking trips with them to Massanutten, cruising with them to the Bahamas, as well as transporting them to and from school. He would attend their recitals, concerts and other programs at school and church. He shared his love of Jesus with them.
Kenneth was baptized at an early age at Berea Temple Seventh Day Adventist Church by Pastor William A Thompson. Kenneth was a charter member of the Edmondson Heights SDA Church. While there, he served as a choir director, Head Deacon, Head Elder, Youth Leader, Sabbath School teacher, Revelation Seminar instructor, and Men's Ministry Leader. He was quite stylish and loved to dress. His clothes always matched from head to toe. He knew he was somebody.
