Kenneth G
Walker
August 6, 1957 – March 22, 2026
Kenneth George Walker, a devoted father, strength, and quiet resilience.
Kenneth was born in Ocho Rios, St. Ann Jamaica, to his late parents, Vashi Mackenzie Walker and Kenneth C. Walker. He was raised alongside his two brothers and one sister, carrying with him the values of family, culture, and integrity throughout his life. In 1985, Kenneth migrated to the United States in search of opportunity and a better life. He dedicated himself to hard work, spending 10 years with Safeguard Aviation and later 8 years with Olive Garden. Though he did not pursue a traditional career path, Kenneth was a man of honor, integrity, and strong work ethic, serving his community and contributing over 15 years of dedicated work in the city he called home.
Kenneth was the proud father of his beloved daughter, Makala Walker, who was the center of his world. He also embraced and loved three bonus children as his own: Brandon Johnson, Stephanie Coleman, and Myra Coleman, whom he shared with Rosita Raglin. To Kenneth, family extended beyond blood he deeply cherished his extended family, including his daughter's maternal family, whom he loved and treated as his own. Over the years, he also built meaningful connections within his community, forming close bonds with neighbors, peers, and members, of a local organization center. Kenneth had a vibrant spirit and a love for life's simple joys. He was spontaneous and full of warmth, with a deep love for reggae music and immense pride in his Jamaican heritage. He enjoyed crossword and sudoku puzzles, cherished his vintage movie collection, and found peace in long walks and spending time outdoors within his community. In his younger years, he loved to swim and often shared that joy with his daughter.
As a father, Kenneth was truly exceptional. He created countless cherished memories with Makala taking her to the Inner Harbor to enjoy restaurants, boat rides, and activities, teaching he: teaching her how to ride her first bike, walking her to school each day, and always making sure her favorite meals were waiting for her. During Summers, he would take her swimming, carrying her on his back as they laughed and made memories that would last a lifetime. He took immense pride in being a father and never let his daughter forget how deeply she was loved.
Kenneth was independent and at times stubborn, but only because he never wanted to burden others. he was social yet valued his solitude, keeping his circle small and meaningful. He was righteous, selfless, dependable, and faithful man who gave freely and took pride in providing for others, no matter who they were. he instilled in his daughter a strong sense of worth, constantly reminding her that she was deserving of all she desired in life.
