IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kevin B.
Gibson
June 22, 1961 – May 9, 2018
Kevin B. Gibson, son of the late Shirley Gibson and son of
Vernon Buchanan, was born June 22, 1961, in Baltimore, Maryland.
He departed this earthly life on May 9,2018, after a lengthy illness.
Kevin attended Randallstown Senior High School in the
Baltimore County School System. After High School, he served eight
years in the United States Marine Corps as a helicopter engineer. He
then was honorably discharged, having received several distinctive
service medals.
After serving his country, Kevin married and had three
daughters. He made friends easily wherever he went, and if you knew
Kevin, you knew you had a friend!! He was a loving, kind, and very
sincere-hearted man. If you ever needed someone to support you and
be by your side, it would be him!
Kevin was a good ballplayer. He enjoyed both watching and
playing sports, but especially loved his football!! He also was
interested in all kinds of science fiction, and he loved to debate social
issues. At one point, Kevin joined the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-Day Saints, and became a beloved member of the Eldersburg
Ward. One of his greatest loves though, was his wife Rita, who he
loved with all his heart.
Kevin will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Gibson, and his daughters, Noel
Gibson of Arizona, Simone Gibson of North Carolina, and Marcella
Gibson oflllinois, as well as a grandson, Jerrod Brandon Johnson, Jr.
He also leaves behind a best friend, Alvin Johnson, other church
family & friends, including Darrell Butler, Mike Anderson, James
Cobb, Jeff Hines, and many, many others, too numerous to count.
