Kevin Maurice Gowdy, (Affectionately known as Reese),
the son of Emory Gowdy and Lessie Mae Mitchell was
born on June 9, 1963 in Baltimore, MD. He departed
this life after a lengthy illness on March 29, 2019

Reese received his education in the Baltimore City Public
School System. He also attended Baltimore Community
College of Catonsville.

Reese worked for Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corp.
from June, 1985 until August, 1989. He also worked for
a small company as an assistant from 1990 to 1998, when
he retired due to his illness.

Although he never married nor had any biological chil-

dren, he took pride in raising his two favorite nieces;
Shekia (Skeeter) Ragins and Sharnay Shields-Davis (Du-
Drop). He loved all his nieces and nephews and enjoyed
getting together with the family during the holidays and

special occasions. Reese was preceded in death by his
mother, Lessie and older brother Lorenzo. He was well-
liked everywhere he went, even during his hospital stays.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two sisters; Deborah
Jackson (Darryl) of Baltimore, Diretta Ponder (Tim) of
PA; two brothers; Louis R. jones and Calvin Gowdy
(TUesday); eight nieces, seven Nephews, and a host of
cousins, special friends whom he cherished; Corbitt
Arrowood, Tony Danzler and Stephanie Edwards.
