Obituary

Kevin Jerome Johnson was born on March 17, 1958, in Baltimore. Maryland, to the late Mitchell A. Johnson and Beatrice L. Johnson. A proud son of Baltimore, Kevin pursued his education through the Baltimore City Public School system, Where he earned his GED. He went on to attend several years at Coppin State University.

Kevin held various positions throughout his career, including roles at sweetheart Company and Bethlehem Steel. However, t was on the open road that he discovered his true passion a: long-haul truck driver for Pepsi-Cola. His work took him across the United States, from the East Coast to the West Coast, allowing him to explore the country he loved so dearly.

A devoted collector, Kevin had an affinity for trucks, classic cars, and motorcycles, often picking up unique pieces from the many states he visited. His enthusiasm for custom vehicles extended beyond collecting-he proudly showcased his vans, trucks and motorcycles at auto shows. When not on the road, he enjoyed camping, caring for his tropical fish, and riding his motorcycle from state to state.

In 1977 and 1979, Kevin became a proud father of two daughters: Kaprece Johnson and Patrice Johnson. The three were inseparable. Many believed that they were twins due to their matching outfits and hairstyles. Kevin would chuckle and correct the fact that they weren't twins, but his wonderful daughters in-which he deeply loved. Kevin took his girls everywhere. His blue van with the big SKYZOO grill and blue pickup truck with "monster" tires will forever be a staple in their hearts. Attending bike week yearly in Daytona Beach, Florida became one of their fondest memories. In 1996, Kevin earned the title of Pop-Pop. His girls made him an ecstatic grandfather of three beautiful granddaughters.

In 1987, while attending Van Fest, Kevin met the love of his he, Jacqueline Coates. Their bond grew over the years, and the couple were united in marriage in 2013. He was a proud member of both the Freelance Riders Van Club and the Just Us Van Club. In 1976, Kevin helped found the Baltimore mother chapter of the Cycle Lords Motorcycle Club, serving as the Road Captain. Later, in 2014, he co-founded and served as President of the Philly Boyz Cycle Lords. Although he retired in 2024, Kevin remained a steadfast supporter and loyal rider with his Cycle Lords brothers.

On May 30, 2025, Kevin transitioned peacefully into eternal life. He was preceded in death by his brothers Quitman Brown and John Eaton Sr. sisters Sheila Pinkney and Mable Clifton, a host of beloved uncles (Leon, Earl, Melvin, Walter, Joseph, William, and Macon Eaton), aunts (Leulah, Edith, and Shirley Eaton), niece Shakira Johnson, and sister-in-law Octavia Eaton.
