IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kevin C.
Mitchell, Sr.
April 19, 1954 – June 15, 2016
KEVIN CORNELIUS MITCHELL, SR.,
son of the late Wendell and
Carrie Mitchell was born April 19, 1954 and entered into eternal rest
on June 15, 2_016 surrounded by family and friends.
Kevin received his education in the Baltimore City Public Schools
and later learned what would be his life long occupation, home
improvements. If you needed it fixed, you could count on Kevin to fix
it; carpentry, electrical, painting and plumbing, he knew his stuff and
was passionate about his work. Some of his handiwork can be seen in
his home and throughout the community in which he lived.
Kevin was a fun-loving man who loved life, music and family. He loved
hosting and attending family gatherings, acting as a DJ and playing
music from his vast music collection. An avid football and baseball
fan, he tried not to miss a Ravens or Orioles game; and he collected as
',.. much memorabilia as he could. He was a loving and generous person
who was always willing to help others. Conversations with Kevin
were funny and silly at times and always included alright, alright,
alright or yeah, yeah, yeah, two of his favorite sayings.
In 2007, Kevin met Evangeline (Vann) Cheatham, he found himself
smitten by her warm smile and mouth-watering meals, so on
September 5, 2009 he decided to put a ring on it .... yeah, yeah, yeah.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents; Wendell Mitchell, Sr. and
Carrie Mitchell; son, LaConte' Mitchell; brother, Boyce Mitchell, and
sister, Vieanna Johnson.
Kevin leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Evangeline (Varin); son,
Kevin [r.; stepchildren, Anita and Johnny; sister, Jackie; his brothers
from another mother, Mel and New; brother, Wendell, [r., brothers
in-law, Joe, Robert, Michael, Norris, Ellsworth and William; sisters-
in-law, Cynthia, Tonya and Renae; two daughters-in-law, Roslyn and
Lisette; son-in-law, Kenneth; grandchildren, Kenneth, Quentin, Isaiah,
Evangeline, Devien, Tiffany, Nyshae, Shardrika and Brandon (Bam)
whom he called his Little Buddy; great-grandchildren, Khaliyah,
Kaidence, Khalil, Ahmiara, [ace, Sincere, Na'Ziah; and a host of other
family and friends.
