Kim Lashawn Brown the daughter of Gary L.
Brown and Kaye Frances Perry, was born on March
10, 1971 in Baltimore, Maryland.

As a young child Kim was always very talkative and
would speak her mind whether you wanted to hear it
or not. That same vivacious personality carried over
into her adult life. She would talk and talk until she
convinced you to see any situation her way. At the
age 13, Kim met the boy of her dreams Loudell
"Kissy" Higgins, and after 17 years together they
decided to marry in January 2001, and out of this
union came Trae Rashaad Higgins and Joi McKenzie
Kaye Higgins.

Kim received her education in the Baltimore
City Public School System attending Mt. Royal
elementary and middle schools, and graduated from
Western High School. At an early age Kim had a
strong work ethic. Her first job at age 15 was at
Burger King and as an adult she later became one of
the top sales associates for several telecommunication
companies like MC!. However, Kim's best and
most rewarding work experience was in the mortgage
lending industry. Kim excelled in the industry,
always providing assistance to homeowners and
borrowers with compassion and professionalism. She
loved to help people accomplish their goals.

Kim became a member of Bethel AME church as
a young girl, knew the Lord and accepted Jesus
Christ as her personal Savior; but on Wednesday
night December 9,2015, with the twinkling of the
eye, Kim was called home.

Kim leaves to cherish her memories; her loving
husband, Loudell Higgins, son, Trae Rashaad Higgins,
daughter, Joi McKenzie Kaye Higgins, grandson,
Riley Rashaad Higgins; her father, Gary L.
Brown, her mother, Kaye F. Perry, her brother,
Brannon Brown, mother-in-law, Evelyn Higgins, step
mom, Mary Brown, and a host of aunts, uncles,
cousins and friends.

Kim also leaves a true friend Cynthia Dunyoh,
and two Sister/Cousins Timeka Price and
