Obituary

Kirk was born on March 24, 1955 in the house at 1332 Division Street in Baltimore, Maryland to Emory Spriggs and Addie Gorman. He was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. He married Pat, his sweetheart, twice on February 14, 1985 and again on June 14, 2012 (True Love!). After marriage he began working for Maryland Dry Docks as a long shore man for over 10 years. He has been working for Baltimore County Department of Public Works Highway for the last 18 years.

Kirk obtained his commercial driver's license (CDL) when he started his career with the Baltimore County Government. He was a positive and happy individual who loved his family and friends. He was heavily involved in his work and served as an elected union representative for local union 921. His rots ad childhood friendships (from the old neighborhood) were very important to him. He enjoyed traveling, social events and "looking good". He absolutely adored his children / grandchildren and was proud of his accomplishments and their accomplishments. His brothers and sisters considered him a kind hearted, good guy who was very vocal, strong willed with lots of mouth.

Kirk Spriggs, affectionately known as "House Mouse" because he was so small that he could walk under tables. He died unexpectedly and peacefully at home on June 8, 2017 in Lutherville, Maryland at the age of 62.

He leaves to mourn his memories his wife, Patricia "Pat"; two sons, Kirk and Emory; one daughter, Kimberly; a daughter in-law, Dejanae; one step son, Rogger Bonner, Jr.; five grandsons, Dejon and Demari Spriggs, Roger, Rashard and Riley Bonner; two brothers, Joseph "Joe" Gorman and Donovan "Donnie" Spriggs; two sisters, Emily and Ada "Peggy" Spriggs; and his father in-law, Joseph Garrett. He is preceded in death by his parents Emory Spriggs and Addie Gorman; one brother, David; three sisters, Gloria Chew, Jeanette Gardner and Alice Spriggs-Marshall.
