Obituary

Lacy D. Butler, son of Mamie E. Muse and the late Hazel Butler, was born on November 13, 1949 in North Carolina. He suddenly departed this life on August 29, 2016 of a sudden illness.

He received his education in the Baltimore City Public School sys- tem. He also worked with Baltimore City Water Department.

Lacy made numerous friends wherever he went and will be sincere- ly missed by everyone. He was known by his friends as 'Batman'. He was a true friend, devoted husband, father, loving son and also a caring uncle to his nieces and nephews. Lacy was very fun loving, loved to cook and a good provider. Lacy also loved sports. Lacy enjoyed hanging out with his long time friends in the park and would always lend a helping hand to the elderly in the community by running errands.

He leaves to mourn: his loving wife, Bernadette Butler; loving mother, Mamie Muse and the late Hazel Butler; one son, Samuel Davis; one daughter, Rachel Butler; five stepchildren, Bernadette Winchester, Bertha Pressley, Dexter Purnell, David Purnell and Bernard Pressley; five brothers, Brenton Harris, Robert Butler, Larry Butler, Willie Muse and Vin- cent Butler; three sisters, Brenda Bagley, Nancy Hartgrove, and Sheila Car- ey; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, family and friends Viewing Joseph H.
