LaDonya Yvette Carter-Poole, daughter of the late Harvey N. Carter and Hilda V. Hatch was called to receive her heavenly reward early Tuesday morning November 29, 2016 at University of Maryland Medical Center.

In her early childhood LaDonya attended Hall United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Mildtones Youth Choir.

LaDonya received her education from the Anne Arundel County Public School System. She attended Glen Burnie High School and further pursued her education by attending Anne Arundel Community College.

On February 14, 2006 LaDonya married LaRon E. Poole and from this union three beautiful girls were born,: LaNesha, LaKira, and LaNya. Being a mother to these three girls is what brought LaDonya the greatest joy in life.

She was given several names of affection by those that loved her. Donya, Donnie, Donut, and Lasagna just to name a few. These were terms of endearment as a symbol of just how much she was loved.

Over the course of her young adult life LaDonya worked at several places of employment. But, just over the past year she discovered her passion and developed her skills in baking. She began to share and show her love to those that were special to her by baking special cakes and cupcakes. She would often experiment to perfect her recipes and use her family as guinea pigs for tasting. Her favorite cakes to bake were red velvet, pound cakes and her famous chocolate Oreo cheesecake.
