Lafayette Wardell Pierson, Sr. was born in Winnsboro, South Carolina on August 2, 1937 to the late Lugene Gunthrop Pierson and Samuel Pierson. He peacefully departed this life on December 25, 2017. He was the seventh child of eleven siblings, in which eight preceded him in death, Eddie Pierson, Thomas Pierson, Talmade Pierson, Bernard Pierson, Purnell Pierson, Linberg Pierson, Mildred Pierson and Elaine Pierson.

Lafayette married Ella Washington in 1958 they were married for 33 years, from this union six children were born Deborah, Pamela, Linda, Carolyn, Lafayette, Jr. and Cynthia.

Lafayette Latter married Beatrice Carter August 31, 2001. Lafayette worked at Keystone and he retired from Barre !National

Pharmaceuticals in 1998. He loved spending time with his family especially on Christmas which was his favorite holiday. His hobbies were bowling, fishing, landscaping, cooking and watching westerns on TV.

Lafayette was baptized at Friendship Baptist Church, by the late Rev. Dr. William McCoy, Jr . He later on he joined Village Baptist Church, on December 31, 2008 with christian experience. He served on the security ministry until his health failed.

Lafayette leaves to cherish his memory his wife Beatrice Carter, 6 children Deborah Williams, of Antioch TN.; Pamela Crossland of Baltimore, MD; Linda Pierson of Baltimore MD; Carolyn Fouchang of Detoit, Mi; Lafayette Pierson, Jr. of Baltimore; MD and Cynthia Purviance (Jason) of Baltimore, MD. One Sister, Lethia May Biddle, One Brother, William Pierson, One favorite greatniece, Hattie Stanfield. Fifteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
