Lakeith R. Freeman, affectionately known as "Keith," was bom on April 5,1975,
to the late Betty Powell and Louis Freeman in Baltimore, Maryland. He attended Saint Ambrose Rosa Parks Catholic School, graduated from Dr. King Elementary, and Lemmel Junior High.
Keith began his career at BGE before discovering a passion for home improvement, which he pursued until his health no longer permitted.
A devoted family man, Keith shared a deep love with his wife, Valencia Freeman. Together, they welcomed their son, Eli Freeman, who cherished his father immensely. Eli's love and care for his grandmother were unmatched, reflecting the strong family values Keith instilled.
Keith was more than his roles; he was a son, grandson, husband, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. Known for his warm hugs and heartfelt words, he always expressed his love and care. Family gatherings were filled with his stories of "the good ole days," bringing smiles and laughter to everyone.
Keith also had a flair for fashion, with an impressive collection of sneakers. He had a large extended family, including many nieces, nephews, brothers, and sisters-in- law, but he was especialty close to Kenyon Dunn and Lawonne Hughs. He also shared a unique bond with his best friend, Lamont Williams, with whom he spoke every day.
Keith was a cherished husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend departed this life on May 30th, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Valencia Freeman; his son, Eli Freeman; his step-daughter, Niya Buckman; his grandmother, Ellen Clayton; his sister, Charrise Freeman; his niece, Chamara Childs; his nephews, Tino Hayes and Jarmaine Childs; and a host of cousins, in-laws, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Powell; father, Louis Freeman; and step-grandfather, Desper Clayton. Keith was loved by many, and his presence will be deeply missed.
