After a gallant fight against heart and kidney disease Larry quietly and peacefully departed this life on July 20, 2017.
Larry Stanley Bessicks the son of the late Joshua Bessicks and Ruth Bessicks-Cook was born on August 4, 1945 in Anne Arundel County. He . graduated from Bates High School in 1963 and later that year enlisted into the Air Force, with an honorable discharge in 1967. After his military career, Larry began working for Proctor and Gamble in 1967 working his way up to Project Manager - retiring in 1995.
Larry's favorite past times were gourmet cooking and BBQing. He loved to watch the cooking channels to get new recipes. He was an avid volunteer at Bea Gaddy. He loved bowling, golf, pool and table tennis. Larry was an active member of AMW A Y. He was well known through- out the Columbia communities being honored as "Mayor of White washer Way".
Larry married Marguerite Roane on August 1, 1970 at John Wesley United Methodist Church in Glen Burnie, MD.
Larry leaves behind two beautiful daughters, Zina Thomas (Dane) and Toya Brown; one granddaughter, Ayjah Thomas and one grandson Anthony Moore. Larry also leaves behind two brothers, Donald and Carl; six sisters, Jacquelyn, Gloria, Deborah, Vlasta, Sharlene and Sharon; four brother-in-laws (three deceased), and four sister-in-laws, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Larry's sister Margo preceded him in death.
